Voicetracking, by the way, has only come into vogue in radio since the advent of computers in the industry. Recording the voice files and then merging those files with the music, which is pre-determined (by music directors like myself), can be done in twenty minutes to half an hour for a six hour shift. All the same information is there, unless a bus crashes into your building. Then the immediacy of live radio is missed, but voicetracking is usually done with failsafes, including someone doing a newscast at the top of the hour, etc. It's just the way radio is, and has both its good and bad points. 99.9% of the time, you wouldn't be able to tell if what you were listening to was live or a voicetrack anyway, so it isn't like anyone is getting cheated.
Well, I didn't fall asleep at the microphone, but I remained very busy all week, what with the house still on the market, and the twins our primary concern at home. Getting some more 'sprucing up' done on the house this weekend, but I thought I'd include this picture Janne sent to me at work the week before last.
It's Morgan, sleeping at the microphone, standing up in the exersaucer. Janne said she left the room to the sounds of Morgan's playing in it, only to return moments later to this scene:

I love this second picture:

It's 'proof' that she is indeed sleeping, but my favourite part of the picture is the little buttons of sunlight across her head from the venetian blind.
What an adorable kid. And quiet, for a change.
