Up for air...

Wow. Unbelievable.
When selling your house is made more difficult by someone who's supposed to be helping you sell it, life can get really stressful. But - even though the house is not yet sold - that little unfortunate chapter is closed now - I hope.
...and although I may someday go into a bit more detail about what we've been through recently and BOY WOULD I LIKE TO USE NAMES OF THOSE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE SCREW-UPS HERE, I will leave it alone, use that newest of business pop-culture euphemisms, "move forward", and talk about the babies instead.

Morgan is sitting up on her own.

Liam is, too, when he feels like it, but he wants to go straight from this position (the Burt-Reynolds-from-Cosmopolitan-magazine-from-a-generation-ago pose)

to walking, or at the very least, standing. Sitting doesn't really seem to interest him that much, although he'll do it for a while, as long as Mom watches over him.

Morgan has this thing about having to have EVERYthing within (or even slightly OUT of) her reach. "What is that? Is that yours? Well, it's mine now", seems to be what she's saying whenever she spots anything of interest, and everything seems to fall into that category.

Many of you will say, "Oh, she just wants to touch Liam's hand."
Nope.
She wants to rip his hand off the toy, and take the toy away. Trust me.
And he lets her do it.

We recently visited Lene, Janne's sister, to help celebrate her birthday, and the Tinks were really what the visit was all about for everyone. Our friends Ken and Michele were also there to help celebrate, and were crawled over to a great extent by both Liam and Morgan throughout the afternoon. Although Lene didn't want me to post her picture here, I wanted to share this one with you. With just the little bit of her that you can see in the picture, it really struck me as to how easily you can tell that she just loves her little niece (in this case) and nephew to pieces. I hope you don't mind too much, Lene. It's a great, intense, lovely shot.

Speaking of lovely shots, it's fun to watch Janne's Mom (who doesn't like "Grandma", or "Grandmother", or any other derivate of the word, but prefers the Danish "MorMor") with the twins, because of how she absolutely glows when she's holding either of them. Like in these two shots, for instance:

By the way, if you look behind MorMor on the wall, you can see a picture she painted of Janne. Actually, she painted all the pictures you can see in either shot.

Most of these photos in the post today are taken by Janne, and although I may have taken one or two of them, I'm happy to give her credit (Like - it's her camera, but I bought it. ;-)). Lene also took some beautiful shots this past Sunday of the twins, but I'll wait to see if she posts any more of them on her blog before I use any here. I think that's only fair and proper etiquette in the blogging world, right?

For those of you who have the long Labour Day weekend to celebrate, enjoy. Hope you have a comfy foam mat to play on, lots of toys, and people who just love you to pieces.
